Peluso P-414 Multi-Pattern Large Diaphragm Condenser Microphone
The Peluso P-414 is a modern tribute to one of the most legendary microphones in recording history — the classic AKG C 414. Inspired specifically by the revered 1976 EB version with its original CK12-style brass capsule, the P-414 delivers the midrange presence, sparkling top-end, and tonal richness that made vintage AKG mics a studio standard.
At the heart of the P-414 is a 34mm edge-terminated brass dual-backplate capsule, faithfully recreating the open, airy character of the original. Combined with a custom-wound transformer and solid-state amplifier stage, the P-414 achieves low-noise, high-fidelity audio that meets today’s professional standards — with the warmth and musicality of a true classic.
Four selectable polar patterns (cardioid, omni, figure-eight, and wide cardioid) make this mic highly adaptable for vocals, drums, acoustic instruments, and more. It also features -10 dB and -20 dB pads and a low-end roll-off switch, so it’s just as comfortable handling delicate detail as it is punishing SPLs from kick drums or guitar amps.
Built from solid brass and steel — including the head grille, body, and stem — the P-414 is engineered for durability and road-ready resilience.
